Terms of Service

Effective date: February 5, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern access to and use of uLogger ("uLogger," "we," "us," or "our"), a cloud-based observability platform. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

If you use the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization.

1. The Service

uLogger is a cloud-based observability platform for collecting, storing, analyzing, and visualizing logs, traces, metrics, and telemetry from software systems and connected devices.

The Service includes paid plans and a limited free tier with reduced limits, features, or retention. We may modify or discontinue features at any time.

2. Eligibility and Accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old.
  • You are responsible for all activity under your account.
  • You must safeguard credentials and API keys.

3. Customer Data and Ownership

Customer Data

"Customer Data" means logs, metrics, telemetry, traces, and other data submitted to the Service.

You retain all ownership rights to Customer Data.

License

You grant uLogger a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, process, transmit, and display Customer Data solely to operate, maintain, and improve the Service.

uLogger acts as a data processor, not a data controller.

4. Aggregated and Anonymized Data

Definition

"Aggregated and Anonymized Data" means data derived from Customer Data that has been processed to remove or irreversibly obfuscate identifiers so it cannot reasonably identify a customer, organization, device, system, or individual.

Permitted Use

uLogger may create and use Aggregated and Anonymized Data for:

  • Operating and improving the Service
  • Developing analytics, benchmarks, and statistical models
  • Identifying performance or reliability trends
  • Producing industry-level insights
  • Sharing non-identifying findings with third parties (e.g., silicon manufacturers, SDK developers)

Aggregated and Anonymized Data does not constitute Customer Data.

No Re-Identification

uLogger will not attempt to re-identify such data or permit others to do so.

Enterprise Plan Opt-Out

Customers subscribed to the Enterprise plan may opt out of the use of their Customer Data for the creation of Aggregated and Anonymized Data.

Opt-out applies only to the customer's own Customer Data and does not affect Aggregated and Anonymized Data created prior to the opt-out taking effect.

5. Data Responsibility and Restrictions

You are responsible for the content of Customer Data and compliance with applicable laws.

Unless explicitly agreed in writing, you agree not to submit:

  • Passwords, private keys, authentication tokens, or secrets
  • Regulated sensitive data (e.g., PHI)

Logs may include device identifiers (e.g., serial numbers, MAC addresses, IP addresses). uLogger does not sanitize or filter log payloads.

6. Acceptable Use

You may not:

  • Abuse or overload the Service
  • Circumvent limits or security controls
  • Reverse engineer or extract source code
  • Use the Service for unauthorized surveillance or malicious activity

7. Service Availability and Data Durability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available."

uLogger does not guarantee:

  • Continuous availability
  • Error-free operation
  • Complete or permanent data retention

Customer Data may be lost, delayed, or deleted due to system limits, failures, or maintenance. Customers are responsible for maintaining backups if required.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Default retention is 90 days, subject to plan limits.
  • Data is stored in an immutable format and deleted automatically upon expiration.
  • Deletion requests are satisfied through expiration and do not involve selective reprocessing.
  • Aggregated and Anonymized Data may be retained indefinitely.

9. Safety-Critical Use Prohibited

The Service is not designed or intended for real-time control, emergency response, or safety-critical systems. uLogger disclaims liability for decisions made based on Service output.

10. Fees and Billing

  • Paid plans are billed based on selected plan and usage (e.g., number of devices).
  • Usage limits are enforced; excess usage may be blocked.
  • Pricing may change on renewal.
  • Fees are non-refundable except as required by law.
  • The free tier may be modified or discontinued at any time.

11. Intellectual Property

uLogger retains all rights to the Service and related intellectual property. Feedback may be used without restriction.

12. Confidentiality

Each party agrees to protect the other's confidential information.

13. Termination

You may terminate your account at any time. uLogger may suspend or terminate access for violations, security risks, or legal requirements.

14. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

15. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, uLogger's total liability shall not exceed the fees paid in the prior twelve (12) months.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, excluding conflict-of-law principles.
